The Statue Gallery

A fantastic collection of art greets you as you enter into the Statue Gallery. This is one of the largest private collections of 19th century Italian Marble sculpture in Scotland. Even the fireplace in the centre of the room is made of marble and adorned with statues. Paintings dating from the 17th century hang on the walls below the vaulted ceiling. Three bay windows along the outside wall offer a view over the courtyard and cushioned window seats to sit and contemplate the works around you. Over the entrance to the Dining Hall is the ornately carved railing of the Minstrel's Gallery.
